Boga and I in Accra, 2022, picture by Daniel Feistenauer.

Hello and welcome,

Thank you for caring about my work!

FEEL FREE TO REACH OUT, for any inquiries.

Since 2017, I have been to Ghana regularly for my artistic research. Last year, I graduated with a PhD. in Sculpture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. My life is close to horses since childhood, my close bond with my horse Boga keeps me in Ghana since we met during my first arrival in Accra. Since 2019, for my PhD. Thesis, I collaborate with the local horse community, the Veterinary Medicine Department and other related professionals. The same year, I founded my horse rescue organisation THE SIX FREEDOMS. Horses inspired me throughout my life. Eventually, I could make it a profession and research the interconnection between horse abuse and human abuse. It is my deep aim to raise awareness on mental health, care and the interlink of domestic violence and animal abuse, known as THE VIOLENCE LINK.

Many stories on domestic violence have inspired me for my work. Since 2013, I have been involved in international artistic research on sex work, informed by close, long-term collaboration with my subjects. This research has been based in Brussels, Athens and Paris. Since 2017, I have expanded this project to Accra, Ghana.

From 2019 to 2020, I was part of TIME-LABS: Cuba Photography Missions, a research project in Havana, Cuba, supported by VLIR-UOS Belgium and in collaboration with European and Cuban photographers, as well as the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana. Here, I have been working with feminists who experienced domestic violence themselves.

Horses help me to achieve a broader, more complex vision of power and social taboo issues.

I am happy about inspiration, collaborations with various disciplines or any other inquiry.
If you wish to purchase one of my analogue c-prints in a limited edition, please send me a request.
